In the summer of 2017, Jake had the pleasure of experiencing a sound bath with Tibetan singing bowls and gongs in Maui, Hawaii. He immediately had the desire to learn this beautiful and transformative healing technique. He put the idea in the back of his head and told himself that if he ever had the opportunity to learn, he absolutely would. In the spring of 2018, he found himself in Nepal specifically to learn from a master he had found through word of mouth. He ended up in Nepal for over 4 months studying and practicing the art of Nāda Yoga. He learned philosophy and the principles behind the concept that we are all sound vibrations (nāda). He received his 200-Hour Teaching Certificate from Bhakti Yoga DC in 2018, which consisted of vinyasa flow, mantra, prana, kriyas, philosophy, and pujas (rituals) training.
