This is a two day beginner AcroYoga workshop. Each day we will begin with group and partner warm-ups, break down and learn the fundamentals and basics of AcroYoga, and end with cool-down bodywork.
Day 1: Saturday, August 3rd: L-basing, belly-basing, therapeutic flying
Day 2: Sunday, August 4th: Standing Acrobatics, Inversions, Thai Bodywork
This workshop is great for newbies to the practice as well as beginners. No previous yoga or acrobatic practice is needed, however, it can be beneficial. If you have no regular exercise routine of any kind, this may not be the workshop for you. You may come with a partner or bring some friends, however, having a partner is not necessary. We will be working in groups and you will have the chance to work with many different bodies during the workshop.
Cost: $30 for 1 day or $50 for both
Stephanie is a Oaxaca, Mexico based yoga and Acroyoga teacher. She began her yogic path in 2012 while living in Costa Rica. She now teaches in both English and Spanish and focuses on alignment-based movement. Her specialties are in Vinyasa Flow, Acroyoga, Hatha, and Yin yoga.
Apart from yoga, she loves cooking vegetarian food with an emphasis on the Oaxacan specialty: chapulines!
